Privacy Policy

GRANDLINE Inc. ("The Company") shall, based on the acknowledgement of the protection of personal information being important social responsibility, establish the Personal Information Protection Policy as below so as to handle, manage, and maintain personal information. Furthermore, The Company will respond appropriately to civil complaints where an individual or a legally designated agent of such individual demands making a disclosure of, correcting, or suspending the use of personal information owned by The Company, within rational bounds.

Personal Information Protection Policy

1. Observance of laws and regulations
The Company shall observe laws and regulations on the protection of personal information, equivalent to the handling of personal information, and shall strive to protect personal information.

2. Acquisition, use, and provision of personal information
The Company shall acquire, use, and provide personal information in an appropriate manner after understanding the purpose of its use.

3. Execution of safety control measures
The Company shall make efforts to prevent and rectify an unjustifiable access to and a leakage, destruction, and damage of personal information by devising rational safety control measures.

4. Continuous improvement
The Company shall make efforts to appropriately respond to changes in social environment in regards to personal information and to continue improving this policy and safety control measures by acceding to needs and changing, correcting, and adding plans.

5. Response to civil complaints about a disclosure or a correction

With regard to the handling of personal information

1. Purpose of the use of personal information

The Company may deposit personal information in The Company's consignor (A warehouse, a forwarding agent, etc.) for the purpose of use specified in No.1 above. In the case of depositing personal information in The Company's consignor, The Company shall select an appropriate consignor and instruct and supervise the consignor appropriately so as to manage personal information safely.

There are times when The Company decides matters regarding the handling of personal information, such as the purpose of use of personal information by product and service business, provision to a third party, and an enquiry. For other cases irrelevant to "With regard to the handling of personal information", The Company will apply matters regarding the handling of personal information that are set by relevant product and service business before anything else.

5. With regard to making a disclosure of, correcting, and suspending the use of registered contents
The Company will respond to an individual’s request for making a disclosure of, correcting, suspending the use of, and deleting personal information, if any, as soon as possible unless there is a specific reason for an identification.
